Oslo · Rättvik · Gävle · Stockholm · Uppsala · Seven Concerts in Nine Days
May 30 – June 7, 2026
Chris is touring Norway and Sweden with the Augustana Choir from late May through June 7, performing in six cities — from Oslo's Margareta Church to the great Uppsala Cathedral. The Pace family flies into Stockholm on June 6 and meets Chris for the final concert at Uppsala Cathedral on June 7, after which he joins us for the rest of the European trip.
Conducted by Dr. Jon Hurty, the Augustana Choir of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois performs seven concerts across Norway and Sweden in May–June 2026. The tour celebrates Augustana's deep Swedish-American heritage, culminating at Uppsala Cathedral — spiritual cradle of the Augustana Synod and the largest church in Scandinavia.
The Paces depart Green Bay on June 5, arriving Stockholm Arlanda on June 6 at 19:20. We stay in Uppsala at the Radisson Blu for the final concert. Chris joins the family afterward — onward to Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, and Disneyland Paris. View full Europe '26 itinerary →
The Swedish church in Oslo — fitting first stop for a tour that traces Augustana's Scandinavian roots. The alumni-tour group based at First Hotel Millennium can walk over in about 15 minutes for the optional evening concert.
A historic wooden church on the shores of Lake Siljan in the Dalarna region, known for its beautiful acoustics and lakeside setting. Surrounded by preserved horse-stables once used by parishioners.
Joint concert with the Valbo Vocal Ensemble and Tonverket Youth Choir, conducted by Ellen Weiss. Recently renovated church with excellent acoustics — described by visitors as "wonderful" for choral performance.
Located near Odenplan in Vasastan, just north of central Stockholm. Beautiful, peaceful interior; one of the most striking architectural choirs in central Stockholm.
Joint concert with the Stockholms Musikgymnasiums Chamber Choir, conducted by Sofia Ågren. Built in National Romantic style and perched atop Vita Bergen hill on Södermalm with sweeping views over Stockholm — one of the city's most dramatic church settings.
⚠️ Family note: This concert is at 4 PM Saturday — the Pace family will still be in the air on the LHR→ARN leg (arriving Arlanda at 19:20) and will miss this one. The family arrives in time for tomorrow's finale in Uppsala.
The tour finale, in the largest cathedral in Scandinavia and the resting place of Gustav Vasa. Built between 1287 and 1435, with soaring Gothic brick architecture and extraordinary acoustics. Uppsala is the spiritual cradle of the Augustana Synod, which founded the college in 1860 — making this the spiritually fitting end to the tour.
✓ The Pace family will be there. Arrive at Uppsala Cathedral by 4:00 PM to find seats — it's a 10-minute walk from the Radisson Blu along the Fyrisån river. The post-concert dinner is with the Augustana Choir and President Andrea Talentino at Elite Hotel Academia (Suttungs gränd 6).
